Bulk Truck & Transport Service, Inc. has been building propane delivery trucks for 34 years and is now one of the largest builders in the United States. Over the years, we have seen many exciting changes including the improvement of our chassis. Basically, we installed the tank on the chassis, plumbed it, painted it and we had a delivery truck. Today that has all changed. We’ve learned the importance in matching the right chassis with the right size tank. There are also other considerations such as the terrain, weight distribution, engine horse power, torque, differential ratios, transmission and axle and spring ratings. Above all, we must be familiar with the Federal and state regulations that apply to the area where it will be operated.
BT&T prides itself in building delivery trucks that comply with all of the items previously mentioned. Today we have trucks in every state except for Hawaii, plus in many foreign countries. We manufacture MC331 vessels from 500 gallons through 5,600 gallons, and refurbish all size tanks and transports. We hold both a National Board R and an ASME U stamp. The U stamp allows us to manufacture the vessel, and the R stamp allows us to do repair work on the vessel.
Because we have our own in-house computer database with the most popular chassis, such as Sterling, Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt and International , we can usually quote any unit within two to three hours. The only exception is requests for custom chassis, which may take a little longer to quote. Keep in mind that BT&T stocks a variety of competitive-priced chassis if you choose to purchase one from us. If you buy your unit from BT&T and purchase your chassis from a local dealer, BT&T will be happy to work with that dealer to ensure that the chassis is ordered to fit your needs. We also have the capability of building the unit and shipping it without a chassis as long as we have the manufacturer’s specifications for it. This is most common in foreign sales.
Today BT&T has units in the field that are giving their owners more than 12 years of service with normal care and maintenance. Our aluminum, stainless steel decks are manufactured with 3/16 plate and heavy-duty sub-frames built from the same material as the deck. All of our units, new or refurbished, carry a one-year warranty on both parts and labor. The chassis is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
